Seems like when you find some time to write you just can’t seem to stop. While I’m at it, I stumbled across this posting at the wonderful Koukou Yakyuu Blog done by Goro Shigeno who provided briliant live blogging for the Summer Koushien last year. Yotube footage of some of the pitchers in the upcoming spring tournament. Unfortunately no Wakayama Chiben … I actually don’t know if they were invited. I think I’ve become a fan because my Japanese tandempartner is from Wakayama. Plus I like the big “C” the fans display in the stands.

Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker was so kind to ask me to write a piece about baseball in Germany and although I still think I am in no way qualified to write an article like this one he put it up on his site. Thanks a lot.
And while you’re there, read the rest Patrick writes and bookmark his site, it’s a great blog!

Yet another Hit & Run show, this time in a rather unexpected location. Usually the Underground hosts the “bigger” names of the music industry and the beverage prices are not really inviting to some people as well. Still the small room in the back of the venue, labelled “Underground 2”, has its charm every now and then. It only gets slightly problematic when the audience of one show and the crowd of the other one meet in the bar room. Hilarious. Yesterday saw a brilliant mixture of sXe hardcore kids and drunk metalheads in long leather coats.

Sometimes it feels like evenings long ago happened just a few weeks ago and that’s exactly what it was like for me last night. It wasn’t that long ago that I had seen our good friends of The Gaslight Anthem though. They played in Cologne last summer. But seeing them again sure felt like they came back after a 4 week trip. We continued where we left off. It was almost like a family reunion.

Everybody knows that each show is different in the way how people percieve it. So you can talk to different people about the same show and it will sound like they went to completely different venues. As for me, there’S shows I remember because of the music and the way the band performed. And then there are shows I simpley remember because of the surroundings, the people I met there, the conversations I had. And maybe because of the headache I had the day after. (more…)

I don’t really know but the last time I went out to buy some records I wasn’t that pleased with my choice after a few days. I still don’t know why I bought some records a month ago. Really strange, usually I don’t really care about things like that that much. So this time I chose wisely … or, well, at least I tried, haha… (more…)
