While tempers were flaring high in MLB with the Tigers and the Red Sox or the Dodgers and the Giants going for each other’s throats in benches clearing brawls, it’s always nice to see how well behaved and friendly the players interact at Koushien. Actually I like this a lot more as it increases the tempo of the game. Things move a lot faster when there aren’t that many discussions. (more…)

It’s August again and tomorrow japan’s boys of summer will take the field at koushien once again to determine the nation’s best high school baseball team. I have to admit that I was really looking forward to this year’s edition of the tournament. Maybe it’s because I’m working the night shift next week so I will be able to catch quite a few of the early games each day. I won’t be able to post as much as I did during the spring, but I will try to keep track as the tournament progresses.
